When antihistamines just aren't touching it — one injection for the season.
What it is
For people whose hay fever is genuinely disabling — unable to work, sleep, sit exams or enjoy the summer despite maximum over-the-counter treatment — a single steroid injection (Kenalog) can give relief that lasts through the season.
It's a prescription-only treatment, given only after a proper medical assessment. It isn't right for everyone, it isn't first-line, and I'll talk you through the benefits and the risks honestly before we go ahead. If your standard treatment hasn't been properly optimised yet, that's where we'll start.

What happens when you come in
A medical assessment — your symptoms, what you've already tried, your history and anything that would make this unsuitable. If it's right for you, the injection itself takes a couple of minutes. Available through the pollen season.
