Weight & Metabolic Health
Midlife weight gain is hormonal and metabolic — so the answer is medical, not another diet.
What it is
A doctor-led approach to midlife weight: we look at your hormones, your metabolic health, your sleep, your muscle and your lifestyle, and build a realistic plan. Where it's clinically appropriate, I provide support for medical weight loss, working with your GP and primary healthcare team so that your treatment is properly overseen, monitored and reviewed.
No shame, no fads, and no “just eat less and move more.” A doctor's approach to what is genuinely a medical problem.
Who it's for
-
Weight gain through perimenopause and menopause, especially around the middle
-
Weight that no longer responds to what always used to work
-
Anyone thinking about medical weight loss who wants honest advice on whether it's right for them, and support to do it safely
What happens when you come in
A full medical assessment — history, measurements, blood testing where it's indicated — then a plan covering nutrition (protein first), strength and muscle, sleep and hormones, with proper review. Where medical weight loss is right for you, we talk through the evidence, the risks and the realistic outcomes honestly, and I work with your GP and primary healthcare team to support you.
What you can expect
-
Sustainable weight loss with your muscle preserved — the kind that lasts
-
Better energy, sleep and metabolic markers
-
A realistic plan you can actually live with, reviewed and adjusted with you
